Mark is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (IL) and Licensed Professional Counselor (WI) who supports adults and couples navigating emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. He works with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and are seeking a compassionate, steady guide.

Therapeutic Approach

With several years of experience in an intensive outpatient setting for substance use disorders, Mark deeply understands the complexities of addiction and the shame or fear that often accompany it. Clients experience him as calm, warm, and non-judgmental.

Mark’s approach is holistic and integrative, considering the emotional, relational, practical, and spiritual layers of a client’s life. For those who desire it, he incorporates faith and a person’s relationship with God into the healing process. 

Couples Therapy

Mark works extensively with couples and has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. He helps partners:

  • Improve communication

  • Navigate conflict more effectively

  • Rebuild trust

  • Strengthen emotional connection

Professional Background

Mark holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling (high honors) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, an MBA in Project Management (high honors) from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. He is a member of the American Counseling Association and Illinois Counseling Association.

Beyond the Office

Mark enjoys time with his wife and son, running, reading, exploring Lake County’s forest preserves, and connecting with friends over good food and coffee.
