Angela Heier, M.A., LPC
Angela is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. She completed a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University, after having obtained a B.A. Social Sciences through Providence University College and a Masters in International Health from Curtin University.
Originally from Canada, Angela was raised in Southeast Asia, and has spent considerable time living overseas as an adult. She enjoys working with individual adults, children, and couples. Angela provides a space for clients to feel seen and heard on their journey towards healing, hope, and the abundant life that God offers. She believes counseling is a collaborative opportunity for exploring and finding freedom in emotions, relationships, and anything that causes you to feel stuck.
Angela has a deep passion to help adult "third culture kids", global ministry workers, and their families to thrive. Additional clinical interests include depression, anxiety, relational distress, life transitions, ministry stress, as well as grief and loss. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy and is working towards certification in play therapy.
In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring nature trails, cycling, game nights, traveling, crocheting, and reading.
