Dr. Luis San Roman considers counseling crucial in understanding the underlying issues that affect our relational and emotional well-being. Dr. Luis specializes in working with couples struggling in their relationships. He partners with couples to help them excavate patterns, cultivate connection, and create lasting change. In his work with couples, Dr. Luis employs various evidence-based approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Couples (CBTC), and the Gottman Method, to help his clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and communication styles.

Dr. Luis aims to help clients move beyond their current struggles and develop a healthier, more holistic perspective on their lives. He is dedicated to creating supportive yet empowering relationships, enabling his clients to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to continue growing and developing. For those who welcome it, Dr. Luis incorporates spirituality into the therapeutic process, believing it to be a cornerstone of holistic healing. This integration of faith and counseling offers a deeper dimension of support.

In his free time, Dr. Luis enjoys creating social media content, reading, and spending quality time with his beloved wife and daughters. Dr. Luis is also the Department Chair and an Assistant Professor of Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Dr. Luis San Roman is a bilingual (English / Spanish) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois. He received his B.A. in Psychology and Latino Studies from Northeastern Illinois University, his M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University, his M.A. in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, M.A. in Executive Coaching and Consulting from Concordia University Irvine, and his Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Governors State University.
